In a few short years, Matt Harris has established himself as a wonderful rising talent in the Sydney commercial industry. With a fresh aesthetic Matt’s work is characterised by lush imagery and rich emotional storytelling.

Put simply, his spots are beautiful, moving and very effective.

Prior to directing, Matt spent over ten years working in the film/advertising industry as a 1st AD; scheduling TVC’s and running film sets for numerous production companies worldwide. This gave him the opportunity to work closely alongside many talented directors, agencies and cast on a huge variety of ads ranging from visual work to stunts, effects, drama and comedy. Matt has used this expertise as a great platform from which to step up and begin directing in his own right.

In 2006 Matt wrote and directed the short film, La Croce (The Cross). The film was entered into Cannes and reached the short list for selection into the main festival.

Since then he has concentrated on commercials, joining Orange Whip Films and directing spots for Breville, Lifeline and Sydney aquarium.
